RecycleMe launches free Recyclability-Tool in Slovakia

Reading time: 1 Minute, 58 Seconds

Press release: Cologne / Bratislava, 09.02.2023 – Internationally active consulting company RecycleMe has released its online tool „Circulate Easy“ on the Slovak market. Users of the tool can conduct assessments and evaluations of the recyclability of their packaging in a few simple steps. The tool is free of charge and will help manufacturers and distributors of packaging to get a better understanding of the circularity of their packaging and discover potential for optimization.

As a business consultancy, RecycleMe focuses on circular economy, EPR (Extended Producer Responsibility)-Compliance and packaging recyclability. The team supports its customers in different countries regarding the optimization of packaging circularity and the fulfillment of international regulations.

Growing challenges for companies due to increasing regulation

Only recently, the EU published its draft of a revision of the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR). Circular economy and the high-quality recycling of valuable materials are gaining more and more importance. Control instruments like eco-modulation or the specification of recycled material quotas in packaging encourage packaging manufacturers and distributors to prioritize the recyclability of their products.
„Eco-modulation, i.e. the economic stimulus in favor of higher recyclability of packaging, is taking on increasingly clear contours in Slovakia“, says Jan Makovnik, Managing Director of RecycleMe in Slovakia. „It will be more and more important for manufacturers, to get a clear picture of how their packaging is performing in the recycling process. To obtain financial benefits and, ultimately, a competitive advantage.“

RecycleMe-Tool allows digital assessment of packagings

“With our online tool, manufacturers can carry out an assessment of their own packaging – in a few simple steps and without professional support,” explains Makovnik. Sabrina Goebel, General Manager of RecycleMe Germany, adds: “The assessment tool has already proven itself on the German market in recent years. It will be ideal for manufacturers active on the Slovak market as well, who want to get the best out of their packaging.”
“We are incredibly proud to take the next important step within our group of companies”, Goebel explains further. “Circular economy needs to be thought of internationally. In Germany, we see how it can work and are therefore looking forward to many users of the free tool in Slovakia. It is a strong sign that we are also allowed to accompany the path to a modern circular economy here and are happy to provide support.”
