With Decree No. 371/2015, a number of changes to the provisions of the Slovak Waste Act came into force on 1 July 2023. Producers must take into account, among other things, changes in reporting forms and new record keeping obligations for packaging data.
The new reporting obligations apply to internal reporting as of 01.10.2023, whereby producers must report to their Producer Responsibility Organisation (PRO) for the first time by 10.01.2024 for the fourth quarter of 2023.
New requirements must be observed when reporting the quantities of packaging and non-packaging placed on the market. As of the reporting for the fourth quarter of 2023, manufacturers must take the following changes into account:
These innovations do not replace the existing reporting obligations in the current format under Regulation No 366/2015 on registration and reporting obligations but become part of these existing obligations.
Furthermore, manufacturers are subject to new record keeping obligations of data for packaging and non-packaging products. These obligations concern detailed data on the material composition of the packaging and non-packaging placed on the market and apply for a period of one calendar year.
