The group of companies around Reclay and RecycleMe continues to consistently position itself internationally
Last year Reclay acquired 100 percent of all shares in the Finnish consulting company FinnLoop. Now FinnLoop Oy has been renamed RecycleMe Oy and the activities on the Finnish market have been consistently integrated into the consulting branch of the corporate group.
Reclay, an internationally active service provider in the field of environmental and waste disposal management as well as extended producer responsibility, had founded FinnLoop in the form of a joint venture for consulting services in 2021. Following the acquisition of all shares, the change of name to RecycleMe is now the next logical step in line with the overarching strategy of the corporate group. Only recently, RecycleMe also entered the french market.
“We have been recognising the high demand for consultancy in the circular economy environment all over the world for some time now. In order to meet this steadily growing demand, we founded our own international consultancy with Reclay’s sister company RecycleMe two years ago”, reports Antti Tiilikainen, who is responsible for the sales activities in the Reclay and RecycleMe group of companies and also co-manages the Finnish market. “In Finland, we have laid a good foundation with FinnLoop, which we will now build on with RecycleMe.”
Growing challenges due to upcoming EU regulation
“With RecycleMe, we stand for international expertise and know-how in the environment of packaging cycles and producer responsibility, which other consultancies cannot offer in this depth,” adds Sabrina Goebel, who is responsible for the further development of the RecycleMe brand and thus the consultancy business at group level. “Moreover, we don’t see ourselves only as a classic consultancy, but rather as a transformation partner that accompanies our customers far beyond the concept phase on their way to a functioning circular economy.”
This offer is now also fully available to those companies that are active on the Finnish market. “Our portfolio ranges from design for recycling to monitoring legal developments to training our customers’ employees”, Goebel explains. “We focus on individual and demand-oriented solutions for the challenges of the companies – and these are getting bigger with the EU proposal for packaging and packaging waste regulation. We are pleased to be able to support the Finnish market as well.”
