For a year now, RecycleMe GmbH has been operating as an independent and sustainable consulting company in the field of circular economy. Under the slogan ‘We empower visionaries’, over 30 experts create innovative solutions to close loops and conserve resources together with their international customers.
International customers from various industries
During this first year, the number of well-known and international customers from various industries has constantly increased and the RecycleMe team has been able to complete over 800 consulting projects and assignments. RecycleMe offers a comprehensive range of services, from analysing and optimising the recyclability of packaging, to monitoring circular economy market developments and regulations, to advising on international obligations under the extended producer responsibility. Companies like cosmetics manufacturer Jean & Len appreciate not only the technical expertise, but also the personal and friendly support provided by their contact persons. ‘With RecycleMe, we analysed the packaging of our products using a digital twin and simulated how it would behave in the sorting and recycling process,’ explains Anna Hecker, who is responsible for purchasing at Jean & Len. ‘The insights we gained from the joint workshops are helping us a great deal in our efforts to work even more efficiently and sustainably in our production.’ In addition to the specific analysis and evaluation of recyclability, the Jean & Len team was also able to gain important insights into current trends and developments. ‘We were able to incorporate the information we received on national and international regulations directly into our strategic orientation – with RecycleMe as a partner, we always stay up to date here.’
Unique network complements RecycleMe portfolio
Successful projects and an increasing number of customers quickly lead to the logical consequence of an internationally oriented corporate strategy: the expansion of locations. With Austria, Slovakia, France and Dubai, RecycleMe is now represented around the globe and thus also meets the international needs of its customers. As a subsidiary of the Raan Group, the consulting company also operates in the same business environment as the Reclay Group, which has been active in environmental and waste disposal management for 20 years. With this established expertise behind them, the consulting team offers a unique network within the modern circular economy. And in its first year, further strategic partners have been acquired to complement the RecycleMe portfolio. Thanks to the cooperation with the renowned STADLER Anlagenbau GmbH, packaging can be subjected to practical trials under realistic conditions in a state-of-the-art model sorting plant. RecycleMe has agreed a global strategic alliance with TÜV SÜD to certify the recyclability of packaging.
Review, outlook and vision
As founder and managing director, Sabrina Goebel is proud of how RecycleMe has developed. ‘We have achieved an incredible amount in just one year – and we probably haven’t even implemented half of our colleagues’ creative ideas. It is very exciting to see how much is developing in the circular economy, especially at the international level. I am very happy that we have already been able to achieve a lot with our know-how and innovative strength and that we will continue to achieve a lot in the years to come.’
In addition to customer-oriented advice, the RecycleMe team relies on digital and mobile solutions. With Circulate Easy, companies can easily have the recyclability of their packaging evaluated online themselves – and completely free of charge. The RecycleMich app, which is also part of the RecycleMe product portfolio, is currently gaining ground in Austria. Initially launched in the model region of Vienna, it motivates its users to recycle correctly and offers incentives in the form of a prize draw with attractive prizes from its partner companies, including Coca-Cola Austria and Henkel. ‘Digitalisation has become an integral part of our everyday lives. We want to use it more in the circular economy to give everyone involved the most convenient and comprehensible access possible to topics such as recycling and producer responsibility. These topics are of the utmost importance in the current era of scarce raw materials,’ explains Goebel.
The RecycleMe consulting team looks back on an eventful and successful first year and will continue to work with drive and dedication in the second year to develop smart and innovative solutions for their customers’ environmental responsibility, so that they can focus on the success of their core business.
