Plukon pioneers with its “certify” certification in cooperation with TÜV SÜD/RecycleMe standard “Recyclability of packaging”
“When it comes to sustainability and corporate social responsibility, we are driven by our dedication to promoting the welfare of people and animals and protecting their future. We have made great progress in terms of animal welfare and green production practices and are environmentally conscious in all respects,” emphasizes Ulrike Rücker, spokeswoman for Plukon Group in Germany, emphasizing the high value placed on sustainability in the company.
And this is also reflected in the successful cooperation with RecycleMe GmbH: This is because Plukon’s overall packaging “folding box with inliner” achieved the highest rating level of “Excellent Recyclability” in the strict “certify” test procedure, which is offered in cooperation with TÜV SÜD.
Innovative analysis considers practical recyclability
Through joint and, above all, independent certification, the cooperation partners TÜV SÜD and RecycleMe combine digital analysis methods with established audit processes. Precise material testing, the inclusion of all relevant standards and norms, and the use of digital technology enable more extensive analysis for maximum reliability and transparency.
The certificate of evaluation is valid for the next three years. It is however in the interest of both the auditors and the customer to always comply with the currently valid quality criteria. It is examined here whether the evaluation of recyclability is still up to date (if necessary, optimizations can be initiated immediately) and whether there have been new processes (e.g., in quality management) in the meantime that need to be considered in the overall view.
By repeating the entire audit after the first year, RecycleMe’s experts, together with TÜV SÜD, pursue a high-quality standard for the joint “certify” service. The positive effect for Plukon’s customers is that the excellent condition of their packaging is once again confirmed. And if new minimum standards of recyclability should apply in the meantime, it is possible to act quickly and optimize accordingly.
“Anyone who wants to have an advantage over competitors in the marketplace in the future must address sustainable aspects of the circular economy. Consumers will only buy according to these quality criteria by the next generation at the latest. And it will simply be expensive, if they don’t act sustainably,” says Sabrina Goebel, Manager of RecycleMe GmbH, convinced of the demand for sustainable packaging. “At RecycleMe, we consider it our responsibility to make the world a better place through our actions. And this also includes developing packaging that is more recyclable and resource-friendly, step by step. We are very pleased to give the packaging of our customer Plukon the highest rating to receive the TÜV SÜD certificate.”
