1 Year Recycleme

RecycleMe has been active as an independent and sustainable consultancy in the field of Circular Economy for one year now. Under the slogan “We empower visionaries”, over 30 experts create innovative solutions to close cycles and preserve resources together with their international customers.

International Clients from various Sectors

During their first year, the number of well-known and international clients from various industries has increased constantly and the RecycleMe team has managed to carry out more than 800 consulting projects and assignments. RecycleMe offers comprehensive services ranging from the analysis and optimisation of the recyclability of packaging, to the monitoring of circular economy market developments and regulations, to consulting with regard to international obligations in accordance with extended producer responsibility. Companies such as cosmetics manufacturer Jean & Len appreciate not only the professional know-how, but also the personal and friendly support provided by their contact persons. “With the help of RecycleMe, we have analysed the packaging of our products by creating a digital twin and simulating their behaviour in the sorting and recycling process,” explains Anna Hecker, responsible for purchasing at Jean & Len. “The lessons we learned from the joint workshops help us a lot to work even more efficiently and sustainably in further production.” In addition to the concrete analysis and evaluation of recycling capabilities, the Jean & Len team was also able to gain important insights into current trends and developments. “We were able to directly incorporate the information we received on national and international regulations into our strategic direction – having RecycleMe as a partner always keeps us up to date on this.”

A unique Network complements RecycleMe’s portfolio

Successful projects and an increasing number of customers quickly lead to the logical consequence of an internationally oriented corporate strategy: the expansion of locations. With its presence in Austria, Slovakia, France and Dubai, RecycleMe is now represented around the globe and therefore also fulfils the internationality of its customers. As a subsidiary of the Raan Group, the consultancy also belongs to the same corporate environment as the Reclay Group, which has been active in environmental and waste disposal management for 20 years. This knowledgeable expertise provides the consulting team with a unique network within the modern circular economy. During the first year even more strategic partners were gained to complement RecycleMe’s portfolio. Through the cooperation with the renowned STADLER Anlagenbau GmbH, packaging can be used for practical experiments under realistic conditions in a state-of-the-art model sorting plant. RecycleMe has agreed on a global strategic alliance with TÜV SÜD to certify the recyclability of packaging.

Review, Outlook and Vision

As founder and managing director, Sabrina Goebel proudly looks back on the development of RecycleMe. “We have achieved so much in one year – and probably not even half of the creative ideas of our colleagues have been implemented. It is very exciting to see how much developments are taking place in the Circular Economy on an international level. I am very happy that we were already able to accomplish a lot with our innovative power and that we will continue to do so in the next years.”

Besides customer-oriented consulting, the RecycleMe team focuses on digital and mobile solutions. Circulate Easy enables companies to easily assess the recyclability of their packaging themselves online – and completely free of charge. The RecycleMich app, which is also part of the RecycleMe product portfolio, is currently becoming popular in Austria. Initially launched in the model region of Vienna, it motivates its users to recycle correctly and incentivizes them by giving away attractive prizes from its partner companies such as Coca-Cola Austria and Henkel. “Digitization has become an integral part of our everyday lives. We would also like to make greater use of them in the circular economy in order to provide all stakeholders with the most convenient and comprehensible access possible to topics such as recycling and producer responsibility. Because these issues are extremely important in the current times of raw material shortage,” Goebel explains.

As an international team, the RecycleMe consultancy looks back on a dynamic and successful year and will continue to work full of beans in its second year to develop smart and innovative solutions for the ecological responsibility of its clients so that they can focus on the success of their core business.
